Here\'s an extract from the e-book that specifically relates to choice:

what is lifetime commitment

In  the long term, our choices reflect our identity, and our continuous  experimentation with choice is a way of refining who we are. Relationship  offers a great way to explore and try things out. Life incorporates many  options and every day we are faced with various choices, each one taking us in  a particular direction. We may find this difficult, struggling to decide what  to do, what alternative to take, which path to follow. Without being able to  make clear choices, how can we be certain about who we really are? Then we’d  probably live in a confused state, unable to take action, weighed down by  ‘should I or shouldn’t I?’  If we can’t  choose, we may need to consider how deeply this weakness goes. It may well be  to do with being uncomfortable with individuality. Once we have a firm  identity, choice will be easier.

Some  people make decisions based on logical thinking and reasoning: the mind. Others  make their choices based on the heart. Which voice do we listen to most? Head  or heart? Perhaps the wisest choice is one that incorporates both the head and  the heart: to listen to the intuitive wisdom that speaks from within and also  to check it out against cold reason. Deep down, it is likely that we know what  the right choice for ourselves is. One little trick that comes in useful is to  walk backwards and forwards in a room, having set up two opposing walls to  symbolize ‘this’ or ‘that’. As we walk, eventually the body will feel a  difference—a preference—from which an intuitive awareness of ‘rightness’ can be  inferred. And if in doubt, since Yes pleases the body most of all, we can try  using the general rule that ‘Maybe means No’
